Brooklyn is a well-developed affluent suburb situated in the pivotal South African city of Pretoria (Tshwane). Transport

The Tshwane Municipality implemented the building of BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) transportation system in the Arcadia and Hatfield area around the 11th of July 2012 and the project took 2 years to complete and started its operation on the 1st of December 2014. This bus system connects most of the greater Pretoria area. Brooklyn is also within close proximity to the Hatfield Gautrain Train Station (2.4km).

Malls/Shopping

Brooklyn Pretoria is within close propinquity to Hatfield Square, which is well known as the shopping and entertainment mecca of the greater Pretoria area.  Some of the more sought after malls in the area include the Brooklyn Mall and the Hatfield Plaza. Restaurants

Niuew Muckleneuk is an inopportune distance from Pretoria’s CBD- it is merely 15 minutes away. Johannesburg’s bustling CBD is slightly further away at approximately an hour away traveling by car.
Getting to Africa’s busiest airport, OR Tambo International Airport should take around 35 minutes, while Lanseria International Airport is about a 50-minute drive.

Transport

There are two main bus stops within the suburb, from which commuters can take minivan taxis to more specific points within the area. There is also the Fehrsen Street & Muckleneuk Street train station on the eastern end of the suburb, which provides yet another way for commuters to make their way to the suburb.

Malls/ Shopping

Brooklyn Mall is Niuew Muckleneuk’s biggest shopping centre. The mall hosts a wide variety of retail outlets, including Forever New, Exclusive Books, Vodacom and Musica. The wide variety of popular brands make it the ideal shopping destination.
On top of Brooklyn Mall, there is also the smaller Cherry Lane Mall, which provides a more rustic shopping experience. 

Restaurants

There is definitely no shortage of restaurant options in Niuew Muckleneuk, with a wide variety of upmarket restaurants, quirky eateries and chain restaurants to choose from. In Brooklyn Mall, there is a Wimpy, Tasha’s, Ocean Basket and Café Rossini among others. Further restaurants in the area include Kung Fu Kitchen, Roman’s Pizza and Capeesh.
