Dynamic new developments for Waterfall City

Category Commercial Property News

Phase one of Waterfall City's dynamic new high-rise residential development has been launched. Ground has been broken within the past month, and it is estimated that phase one of Ellipse will take approximately 18 months to complete, putting the completion date early in 2021.

The development, once complete, will consist of four luxurious towers designed in elliptical shapes - hence the name of the development. Individually, the names of the four towers have been unveiled as Newton, Kepler, Cassini and Galileo. These are all names of significance from the world of science and astronomy - Cassini is a spacecraft that explored Saturn and its moons, while Newton is named after Sir Isaac Newton, who paved the way for the modern study of physics. Keppler is named in honour of Johannes Keppler, the astronomer who discovered the three major laws of planetary motion, while the fourth tower owes its name to Galileo Galilei, who, among his many other achievements, was the first person to study the night skies through a telescope.

Developers predicted that this residential precinct would be highly sought after, and with 80 percent of homes in phase one already sold, this prediction has been proven correct. The precinct will certainly have much to offer its residents, with parks, a gym and an outdoor running track - as well as exercise and relaxation pools - all being part of the package. All tenants will enjoy access to Luno Club, which will include a clubhouse, entertainment areas and private dining rooms, complete with chefs and catering.

Ellipse's location, in easy walking distance to The Mall of Africa and all the schools and public transport hubs offered by Waterfall City, is another factor which makes it an ideal home for a family looking for a convenient way of life. Residents will also reap the benefits of the safety features - including security cameras and sophisticated systems - that have been built into life at Waterfall City.

Over and above this new residential development which will enable many more people to call Waterfall City home, there are a number of commercial developments in the pipeline. This goes hand in hand with the expanded residential offering, and enables residents of Waterfall City to live, work and play — all within the precinct and without a time-consuming commute.

The list of up-and-coming commercial developments within Waterfall City include Corporate Campus, which will ultimately house seven separate office buildings, which will share a communal gatehouse. Set in a prime location, this development will offer its tenants a small restaurant as well as fully WiFi-enabled boardrooms seating up to 24 delegates.

The Ingress, another commercial development at Waterfall City, has been receiving a lot of attention. It consists of five office buildings with a sleek modern look that adheres to urban design principles. One of the factors which will appeal about The Ingress is that it is pedestrian-friendly and is just a short walk from The Mall of Africa.

Ext. 24, another flagship commercial development taking place in the Waterfall precinct, has been described as "Gauteng's business destination of choice".  It will consist of two office buildings, each with its own individual identity, but both focused on greenery and natural light.

Development, investment and growth in the Waterfall City precinct continue to progress at a rapid rate and it is set to continue to be a fantastic place to do business in 2020 and beyond. OfficePlace has a range of properties available for rent in this popular precinct. Find your commercial home in Waterfall City or contact OfficePlace for more information.
